How to rise above the blah blah.

Be interesting.

Attention marketers, you’re not just competing with brands in your category or industry. You’re competing with every message that’s out there — every blog, every ad, every show, every voicemail, every email, every newsletter, every text, every tweet, EVERYTHING.

So to actually get registered in somebody’s brain for more than a half second, you better have something provocative to say. Like this quote from marketing great Howard Gossage: “People don’t read ads. They read what interests them. Sometimes that’s an ad.”

Be entertaining.

Grab the popcorn, folks. It’s time to watch the world’s greatest dancers. You’re going to love the Tony-Pena-fist-pump-in-the-ground move.
Be yourself.

Congratulations to Brokaw digital strategist, Holly Robinson, who just got married this week to John Hacker. Which means, yes folks, we now have an interactive specialist named Holly Hacker. How awesome is that?
